Blast off to the stars (or at least lower reaches of UK airspace) with this Deluxe version of the Estes Riptide Starter Set.
With the Riptide model rocket kit there is no glue, no paint, no waiting! With our Deluxe Riptide set you can be into the air within a half hour of ripping off the wrapping paper! Fly it three times!
Getting started in rocketry couldn't be easier... the rocket is rugged, pre-assembled, decorated in a lovely shade of blue and ready for launch. The Riptide can undertake many repeated missions as long as you take care of the rather fragile recovery system by using LOTS of wadding. We toss in some wadding to get you going.

The weakest link in any standard rocket kit is the recovery system. Estes standard components are built to a low price, not a high level of durability. To be sure you get your rocket back we recommend Starter Set Upgrade Kits, an economical version of our Recovery Upgrade Kits that addresses the standard recovery components' short comings and is a bit kinder on the environment, too. For more information about bolstering that fragile element click HERE
Our full-on Recovery Upgrade Kits provide the highest level of durability. They are principally for rocket builders that value the time and skill they put into their birds. That's not to say that failing to get back a beloved Starter Set rocket is any less traumatic (especially if child disappointment is involved). If you are not sure which stater set is best for you then CLICK HERE for an explanation of the important differences that can make one set perfect for one person and not-the-best for another. With our help, getting off to a great start in rocketry doesn't take a lot of "rocket science" ;-)
