Almost Ready to Fly (ARF) means that there is just a few little tasks to do before heading out to the launch pad. Brightly decorated (stands out against the abnd foliage) and mostly assembled, Solaris is perfect for the younger flyer or the seriously impatient.
Projected Max Altitude: 1125 ft (343 m) so mind the wind if you stick in a C or D motor!
Want to fly higher? Fly faster? Fly bigger payloads?
The new Klima D motors fit right in the 18mm motor mount used by Estes A/B/C motors but give you a full 20Ns total impulse. Always verify the Centre of Gravity vs Centre of Pressure. Klima motors are included in the SpaceCAD database for flight profile simulation.
Be aware that the ejection charge is matched to D-sized rockets so a Recovery Upgrade Kit may be a good idea. Also Klima motors are available specifically for rocket cars and gliders, too. For more information CLICK HERE

The weakest link in any standard rocket kit is the recovery system. Estes standard components are built to a low price, not a high level of durability. To be sure you get your rocket back we recommend Starter Set Upgrade Kits, an economical version of our Recovery Upgrade Kits that addresses the standard recovery components' short comings and is a bit kinder on the environment, too. For more information click HERE
Our full-on Recovery Upgrade Kits provide the highest level of durability. They are principally for rocket builders that value the time and skill they put into their birds. That's not to say that failing to get back a beloved Starter Set rocket is any less traumatic (especially if child disappointment is involved). For more information click HERE
