The glider/rocket motor combo you've been waiting for!
This is a nearly scale model of the legendary Me-163, powered by a real rocket engine unlike other far more dear mash ups requiring an electric motor to get heavy models off the ground.
The model is an RC (Remotely Controlled) and designed for experienced modelers. The model is manufactured from robust EPO foam moldings and has extremely good-natured flight characteristics - but it is FAST so cheap servos may not be suitable!
This is the Me-163 kit INCLUDING a six pack of Klima D3-P rocket motors. Required Remote Control: transmitter with delta mixing function, receiving system with two servos.
The kit needs to be assembled and fitted with a D3-P 20Ns 18mm Klima motor. Aluminum motor mount, pushrods and small parts are included. Do not be tempted to fit an Estes C6-0 as the thrust curve is too short and peaky for this type of rocket glider. And, at the end of the burn it may set fire to your model. D3-P only, please!
This version of the kit does not include RC components such as receivers, battery, glue, paint, stickers, or a launching ramp. Klima opines that a model rocket launch rail might do the trick. Build one out of cheap plastic tubing or, if budget is no object we have extruded aluminium rail that would work!
