Falcon 9 with Payload kits will be back in stock mid February. Extremely limited quantities so please order soon.
This is a scale (1:88) model of the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket with its payload fairing. Most of the Falcon 9 flights are configured just like this. An interesting perk is that there is plenty of room for an altimeter AND a mini DV camera. Kits with the Dragon capsule are NOT available at this time. We live in hope :-)
The body tubes are much heavier gauge than the usual run-of-the-mill Chinese tat. Made in the USA, don't ya know! The body tubes are pre-finished with decals so there's no painting, licking or sticking. And no tricky decal alignment issues. Stability in the real thing is done with expensive computers and gyros - the kit has clear plastic fins to provide straight flights. Fins are not removable. The nose cone, transition and other bits are detailed plastic.
The Falcon 9 comes with good illustrated docs and building doesn't require any special tools although both white glue and epoxy are specified.
So why would you swap an Estes D for a Klima D and an adapter? Higher and faster flights, that's why! The Klima D is 19.5Ns deal while Estes D only pumps out 16.8Ns total impulse. AND the Klima D weighs only as much as an Estes C so it has a weight advantage, too.
Here is a lengthy (but detailed) assembly video by another SpaceX fan

Still undecided? Watch the video and chill and consider the purchase!

While the entire Model Rocket Shop team thrills with every new exploit of Elon Musk's SpaceX, it has been the devil to get any kits out of them! Repeated correspondence ignored :-( So we just up and bought some and had them sent here via our US appendage.
There was quite a bit of HMRC avarice between arrival in the UK and the previous delivery to us so that's why we have to charge so flocking much! We will preserver and hope to establish a good sensible commercial reseller relationship but until then... there are more on the way, albeit, with a trip around the houses! To soften the blow we will include Nomex wadding.
Model rocketry is recommended for ages 10 and up with adult supervision for those under 12. Unless otherwise specified, all models require assembly. Tools, construction and finishing supplies sold separately. In order to launch, a launch system, model rocket engines, starters and recovery wadding are required - sold separately-unless otherwise specified.
