The NEW but actually old NIKE-X is yet another recreation of the awesome Estes NIKE-X of yore that flashed through the skies in the 1970's.
QModeling created a Mega Retro Scale BT-80 version of this classic but, alas, they never recovered from a flood five years ago. So for now, this is what we have!
It looks like a scale model, no? But there never was an real Nike-X unlike the other scale Nike kits available today. Nevertheless, the Nike-X single stage rocket is a scale-like model of the US Army’s proposed 4th generation, two-stage surface-to-air interceptor missile. Nike-style design with Army décor including high quality realistic roll pattern and waterslide decals.
Combined with high quality body tubes, laser cut parts and step-by-step instructions, your own NIKE-X could be thundering into the sky powered by a B6-4, C6-5 or even a Klima D9-5 in no time even if you haven't ever attempted a Skill Level 2 rocket before.
