Back from the starship graveyard around Alpha Centuri, this challenging kit is the coolest rocket on any pad! A genuine blast from the past, thanks to the Lorenz Fitzgerald Contraction, no doubt ;-)
This updated example of the classic Estes fantasy kit was manufactured from 1981 to 1984. Even if you're not a collector, you'll care more about the stunning "pad presence" of what Estes modestly claims to be an Awesome Interplanetary Explorer. For once, they're not exaggerating! Altitudes of up to 700 feet might be a bit optimistic, though ;-) unless you fly it on a Klima D9-5.
The nose cone itself is a collectible item as they sure don't make 'em like that any more! Quality laser cut balsa fins, sturdy tubing, and futuristic decals make this a valuable classic flyer.
