NEW Super Big Bertha
Mid Power or Cluster 1NEW Super Big Bertha
Mid Power or Cluster 2

Estes European Pro Series II line just got a new member! Meet the Super Big Bertha, featuring a BT-80 (2.6 in/66 mm) diameter body tube for your building enjoyment. Quite how the Estes Marketing Department thinks this is somehow more enjoyable than any other BT is a question for another time :-)

However, laser cut fins instead of blank sheets of balsa are a welcome upgrade from ye olde version.

Did we mention its a bring back from around 1990? Of course it shares the same blunt styling as the ever popular Big Bertha and Baby Bertha.

Standing over 36 inches tall or just shy of a meter in new money, the Super Big Bertha comes with the quick release motor retention system just as the other Pro Series kits do. (9750 Motor Retainer Set - is also sold separately).

HOWEVER given the paucity of E and F motors in this bailiwick, you might consider a bit of jiggery pokery with a Klima 50mm motor mount that can take three or four D impulse motors. That's plenty of power to get the big gal moving!

Construction of this kit is not difficult and the altitudes you will reach are up to 1000 feet on an F impulse motor. Building and finish work can easily be accomplished over a few days or even a few hours if you use 5 minute epoxy and fast drying rattle tin paint.
