Educational Rockets 1

NEW Nike Smoke
1/10 Scale 1NEW Nike Smoke
1/10 Scale 2

The little brother to the Pro Series II Nike Smoke. 18mm motors make for much less expensive flights vs 29mm!

The Skill Level 2 Nike Smoke is a 1/10 scale model and is actually a pretty straight build with laser cut balsa fins and water slide decals. Paint one fin yellow if you want to see how straight yours flies ;-)

With an weight of around 2.4 ounces, you can expect to reach heights of about 650 feet with a C motor. With a Klima D9-7 you just might be able to double that!

The Nike Smoke was a sounding rocket, part of a research project on the behavior of the horizontal winds in the upper atmosphere, developed by NASA in the 1960s based on the Nike booster. The goal was to obtain more accurate data on the behavior of these winds in order to guide the design of new vehicles.
