Extra margin of safety for all model rockets... and required for Estes E-powered ones!
What's the difference between this one and the standard Estes Electron Beam Launch Controller? The important difference is the wire is longer at 9 meters (30 feet) as required by various safety codes for the safe launch of E-powered model rockets.
The similarities outweigh the other cosmetic differences (this one's BLUE!). It needs 4 x AA batteries, has a safety key and a continuity check lamp. It will certainly launch ANY Estes rocket motor; A, B, C or D. too!
Perhaps the most important similarity is that it is factory-made to a proven design. We know that a basic understanding of DC circuitry might lead you to believe that you can build your own cheaper BUT we have seen too many dangerous malfunctions of home built controllers. Be smart!
