This model is very straight forward to build and there are plenty of paint schemes available on the web to chose from. I used Tamiya acrylic spray cans which worked well and a set of decals from the HK Me163 Kit (slightly oversized but who cares!). For the radio modeller the fit out is easy. Balancing at the recommended C of G is no problem when using a 4 cell Eneloop NiMh 2000 MAh NiMh pack. After initial glider flights off the cliffs I increased the control throws by 50% and added some Expo (to compensate) as I found that flight control was a bit lacking on the glide phase using the recommended settings. Also be aware of the C of G shift forward once the propellant has been used up following the boost stage, so the use of a two position FMode function will negate the need to re-trim for the subsequent glide. I have to say that this little model puts a massive smile on my face (and my friends) every time I 'fly' it. In light lift it will soar with the best of them and you have the advantage of it being boosted to height when in rocket mode. It will roll, loop and fly inverted. When launched off a ramp and up to flying speed it goes up at 70 degrees on the recommended D3-P motors and looks totally realistic! The kit is good quality, goes together well and is very robust. Something unique and highly entertaining at the slope or flying field. In summary, I really like this model......Highly Recommended.
