Klima's Andromeda is a high-performance high quality cluster model rocket kit!
This is a superior model rocket kit, much more rugged than Estes' offering!
Andromeda has a 4 motor mount for clusters and can be flown with a wide range of engine combinations. Because of its low weight, it can be flown very cheaply with 4 x Bs but can also make a nice smoke column that goes way up in the sky with 4 x Cs or Ds.
The machined 4mm motor holder secures the motors by means of a stainless steel screw and precisely fits into the body tube. The fins are milled from stable aircraft plywood and are glued in the pre-slotted tube so that the fins are precisely aligned.
Andromeda has all the bells and whistles. The rocket contains a sophisticated baffle system for the nylon chute offering permanent parachute protection. Recovery wadding is not required but a Recovery Upgrade kit provides belt-and-braces protection. The centre separation of the fuselage takes place at the baffle connector, which makes a very gentle recovery possible.
Andromeda looks great without paint thanks to the lettering and stylized galaxy stickers.
