This should be everyone's first rocket, I love it. It's build covers all the basics of rocketry:
- fins go on individually - no single piece fin can here
- a quick build apart from drying times for wood glue
- traditional 'tea bag' recovery mount
- very solid once built
My only criticism was that the motors were too long for the motor mount and we had to shave 3-4mm off the end of each motor to make it fit.
Fly it on a A8-3 first or you'll never see it again. It shifts on the pad - wow! Using a Klima B4-4 we experienced an actual disappearance as the launch button was pressed and the rocket was gone! We saw it drift over some houses in the distance a few minutes later but it was soon out of sight.
Dump the parachute for a streamer if you want to fly this more than once - even with a ballistic return you'll be able to launch this again - it's that solid.Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]
