Quick to build, great performance, but dinky payload ;-)
The NEW Sky Lofter is one of Estes’ E2X (Easy to Assemble) line of model rockets. You can experience the thrill of building and flying your own high performance model rocket with this fun set. All pre-coloured parts mean no paint is needed and that equals more time for fun! When Estes says "easy", they mean all done and dusted in well under a half hour!
To add to the fun, there’s a clear payload section (roughly 3 in x 1 in) that you can use to launch objects to heights of over 1,000 feet using standard Estes rocket motors. Payloaders should not be used for living creatures but dead ones are OK ;-) or maybe use a small barometric altimeter? Less messy!
Unless you are lofting a payload, start with the A motors as this is a light and slim rocket that will go suprisingly high on lower power motors. When available, we provide As with this set - Bs are a good second option to get maximum value out of the courier fee.
The weakest link in any standard rocket kit is the recovery system. Estes standard components are built to a low price, not a high level of durability.
